Our little Wisconsin.

One of our assignments was to take three pictures of things that describe the rural-ness of small town Wisconsin. We were supposed to take pictures of different things, such as machinery, buildings, structures, animals maybe.  These are the pictures I took that I think describe rural life---

Farm
Farm MACHINERY

Nothing is more rural than a "Support Agriculture" sign.

Come one, Come all!

My advertisement: GABRIEL'S PIANO COMPANY!

I dont really know how I got the idea for pianos....but I figured this would be cute.

Candle Light

One of our past assignments, (and one i have yet to complete!) is to find an interesting way to portray light. I had the idea to take a picture of a candle flame at night on a new entryway piece in my house that has candles all over it. I hope this picture will be very lovely as we got a brand new camera! Our new camera puts my old digital one to shame. It is very easy to use, (while still looking like a very professional camera!) It takes amazing pictures, and in the dark when I turn the flash on it looks like you are in a fully lit room! I have enjoyed taking pictures with it because I like messing with the settings to see how the picture turns out.

I love. this. picture. I just love how everything fades away into blackness and the flame is reflected in the background.

Interesting...Tree?

An interesting tree is very hard to find as I so found out. There are just so many trees in this world it seems...anyways here are many pictures of the same tree from different angles that I thought were interesting.

This one is in color although it does not look like it. I really like the way the branches spindle out and are just sort of everywhere in these pictures.

Warhol Portraits

For these pictures, i replaced the color in certain places, and gave it a cool sort of neon glow. This is the style of Andy Warhol, who did the same style. My first three turned out really really good, but when it came to the last one, I just could not get it right. It always came out splotchy. I worked on it for DAYS. I could not get the splotchyness to go away, so I pretty much just got it the best I could.

Picture Grid!

This was a very interesting project--we had to put a grid on a picture taken of us, and put a filter on a single square at a time. It was hard work but I think it looks kinda neat, especially with my interesting expression.

The Christmas Aftermath

Christmas (and Christmas break) is over, but now we have the terrible aftermath to deal with. Christmas afternoon, i took these pictures of what the mess is like at our house. It is all cleaned up now, but mysterious pieces of wrapping paper somehow are still all over the floor.

This picture was actually taken on Christmas Eve,  still quite messy.

I literally could not walk through the living room without tripping over something!
